Prestongrange Battle Centre Museum

Kirkwood McLean are working on proposals to transform a 1950s former colliery baths building in Scotland to become a new Museum and Gallery on behalf of the Battle of Prestonpans Heritage Trust. The existing bath house forms part of the heritage landscape at Prestongrange, east of Edinburgh, a historic centre of industry stretching back hundreds of years. The derelict building will be rejuvenated to become a new public visitor centre communicating the rich battle and industrial heritage of the area, and will become the permanent home for the display of The Prestonpans Tapestry. The public facility will also contain workshops, learning studios, visitor facilities and a new observation outlook formed from the existing water tower.
